NATIONAL FUNDRAISING INITIATIVES
The American Golf Foundation and its volunteer Ambassadors assist host courses in planning and staging national fundraising events for such respected organizations as the Tiger Woods Foundation, Special Olympics, The Red Cross, Boys and Girls Clubs of America and many others. Ambassadors are also mobilized to assist in fundraising benefiting the victims of major crisis -- as they did in the wake of the horrific tragedy at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado in 1999; following the devastating floods in Houston and San Antonio in June of 2001; and the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

LOCAL FUNDRAISING INITIATIVES
The American Golf Foundation’s charitable activities are highlighted by the Adopt-A-Charity program, a grass roots vehicle for local fundraising in which each participating golf course establishes a partnership with a local non-profit organization and organizes a charity golf tournament or other fundraising event for its benefit. Initially created in 1985, the Adopt-A-Charity program works with such charitable organizations as the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Hispanic Scholarship Programs, along with homeless shelters, children’s hospitals, local Toys for Tots chapters and other community groups benefiting children and families. To find out more regarding hosting a fund raising event at an American Golf Foundation host golf course please contact us.
